Privacy policy

Race 4 More is Aidan Maki's personal fundraising and training page. This explains, in plain terms, what the site stores and shows.

The short version

  • Visitors don't need an account, and the site doesn't track you: no advertising, no tracking cookies, and only anonymous visit counts.
  • Donations happen on the charity's own donation page, not here. This site never sees your payment details.
  • The training log is information Aidan chooses to share about himself. Routes and locations are never stored.
  • Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

If you're visiting

You can read every public page without signing up or giving us anything. The site doesn't use advertising tools, and it doesn't set cookies for visitors.

To see how many people the page reaches, the site uses Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views and records general details such as which page was viewed, the site you came from, your country, and your device and browser type. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you across other websites, and doesn't identify you personally; we only see totals.

If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.

Like any website, our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically receives technical information when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address and browser type. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and isn't used to identify or profile you.

If you donate

Donations are made directly to the charity on its official fundraising platform. For the IRONMAN Foundation, that's DonorDrive. Your payment details, address and email are collected by them under their own privacy policy, not by this site.

The site reads the fundraiser's public total and the public list of donor names from DonorDrive, and shows names on the home and cause pages to say thank you. It never shows how much anyone gave. If you chose to donate anonymously, your name isn't shown. If you'd like your name removed, email hello@race4more.com.

Aidan's training information

The training log contains workouts Aidan (or his coach) enters: the date, type of workout, distance, time, pace, heart rate and an optional caption. Heart rate is health-related information that Aidan chooses to share publicly. Workouts he marks as private, and his private notes, aren't shown on the public site.

When a workout is added from a Garmin file, the file is read in the browser and only the totals listed above are saved. GPS routes and locations are never uploaded or stored.

If you have a login

Only Aidan and his coach can sign in. For them, the site stores an email address to send one-time sign-in links, and sets a cookie that keeps them signed in. That cookie is necessary for signing in and isn't used for tracking.

Services we use

  • Vercel hosts the website and provides the anonymous visit counts described above.
  • Supabase stores the site's content and training log and handles sign-in.
  • Resend delivers sign-in emails.
  • DonorDrive (the IRONMAN Foundation's fundraising platform) handles donations and provides the public total and donor names.

Each processes data only to provide its service, under its own privacy terms.

How long it's kept

Training entries and site content are kept until Aidan deletes them or the site is taken down after the race and fundraiser. Login email addresses are kept while someone has access, and deleted on request.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too. Questions, or a request to see or delete information about you: hello@race4more.com. See also the terms of use.
